ABOUT BARRINGTON CLUB AT PELICAN BAY

Barrington Club at Pelican Bay is a community of coach (or carriage) homes built between 1992 and 1994. These homes are held in a condominium form of ownership, providing owners with coverage for external maintenance. Barrington Club features twenty-three buildings with a combined eighty-nine residences. Interiors range in size from 1,520 to 1,700 square feet under air, with configurations of two and three bedrooms. Residents enjoy landscape and preserve views. Barrington Circle marks the address of this neighborhood.

Known as a very friendly community - passersby almost always offer a wave and a smile - many residents have pets, although sizes are subject to approval. Like all of Pelican Bay, great care was given to building construction quality. Barrington is also known for generous dimensions and high ceilings, and particularly, for vaulted ceilings in second floor units. In recent years, several exciting, elegant unit renovations have kept Barrington "front of mind" for discerning Pelican Bay newcomers and long-time residents as well.

Barrington Club is one of a small number of Pelican Bay communities that offer a comfortable ten-minute walk to local grocery stores, the Mercato, and the Pavilion (home of LA Fitness, a luxury movie theater and several super new restaurants.)

Pelican Bay's beaches and its world-famous amenities are also very convenient. Three miles of effectively private beaches, a champion-level Golf Club, two Beach Clubs complete with new stylish restaurants, a new Community Center with tennis, fitness center, spa facilities, and educational and artistic activities - all available to Pelican Bay residents.

A little sidebar...   One of our favorite things about Pelican Bay is Mens' Coffee - a lively group of men who meet Friday mornings for friendship and a sophisticated speaker series. "Coffee" sounds like a small gathering, but we are talking 200+ men!

They gather weekly to hear from expert speakers on diverse subjects: from recent medical breakthroughs (not long ago, a Pelican Bay resident discussed an important medical advance by the doctor's team) to the fascinating process a national grocery chain uses to develop a new line of natural/organic grocery stores. Every week, a sizable contingent from Barrington attends Mens' Coffee.

Barrington Club fees cover optical fiber cable television, telephone and internet, exterior insurance, irrigation water, lawn and land maintenance, legal and accounting, management, exterior pest control, recreation facilities, repairs and reserves, security, sewer, street lights and maintenance, trash removal and water. As a resident, you automatically become part of the Pelican Bay Foundation's Master Homeowners Association. Pelican Bay Foundation's Master HOA is responsible for stewardship and maintenance of Pelican Bay's world-famous amenities.

Master amenities include three miles of beaches with private access, business center, clubhouse, canoeing and kayaking, renovated fitness center, private beach pavilion, private separate golf memberships (equity and non-equity) and tennis courts. 

Pelican Bay is also adjacent to upscale shopping and dining at Waterside Shops and to Artis Naples, home of the Naples Philharmonic and the Baker Museum, home of the new Olga Hirshhorn Collection, the personal collection of one of the greatest art collectors in American history. Visit some time and see pieces by Pablo Picasso, Willem de Kooning, Georgia O’Keeffe, Alexander Calder, Larry Rivers and Josef Albers, among many others.

Welcome to Pelican Bay

Beaches

Perhaps the finest single thing about Pelican Bay is its beach. Two beach access locations open up to a pristine stretch of white sand that extends for almost three miles, bordering the community’s entire western boundary. Beach attendants keep the beaches well-maintained and are on hand to set up lounge chairs, cabanas and umbrellas. Web cams provide residents with a view of beach conditions 24 hours a day so that they can check the weather before hitting the sand.  


  

Dining in Beach Club Casual Luxury

South Beach offers dining at the Sandbar seasonally and the year-round at the Sunset Café. 

North Beach offers year-round, elegant beach dining at the elegant and state-of-the-art Marker 36 Restaurant (pictured above).

Tennis

In addition to beaches and dining, Pelican Bay is one of the most active tennis communities in Southwest Florida. Offering tennis leagues, round-robins, professional instruction or special events, there is something for everyone. The community’s two tennis complexes provide a total of 18 courts in total. 

Fitness

The Fitness Center is located within the Community Center at Pelican Bay. The very best equipment is available, include LifeFitness and Cybex lines for cardio, strength and core training. Personal training is another benefit the fitness center offers, along with a variety of classes. Designed to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience, the wellness studio is located seconds from the fitness center. A variety of therapeutic massages and facial/skin treatments are available by appointment. 

 

Recreation

Many utilize Clam Bay (located on the Community’s coast) for recreational enjoyment. Canoes and kayaks are available for residents as they navigate endless waterways in preserved mangrove forests. Residents and guests enjoy additional outdoor recreational activities within the confines of Pelican Bay, including bicycling, fishing, nature walks, running, jogging and rollerblading. 

 

Transportation

The tram system is another amenity to residents. The tram system runs along the berms and boardwalks. It is designed to take residents to and from the beach and its restaurants.
