In addition to working in Real Estate, Mike O’Reilly is a corporate and real estate lawyer. He has worked in real estate for more than fifteen years, and has represented clients in more than $300 million of transactions. He understands what it takes to provide quality representation (often in “high stakes/ high pressure” negotiation situations).
He works with clients in Collier County and across South and Southwest Florida. He enjoys sharing what he has learned about South Florida's communities over more than 15 years. He especially admires the care that area leaders have taken to balance preservation of our pristine environment, the needs of our growing community and our developing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
In addition to locals, he works with recent newcomers, whether from Canada, the North and Midwest or from overseas. His legal background makes him especially helpful to international clients unfamiliar with US markets.
At the end of the day, though, he believes that key to providing outstanding service to real estate clients --no matter where they are from, or what they are looking for -- is communication.
As an investor in real estate, he understands that preparation and attention to detail are critical to expeditious, stress-free closings. He loves real estate transactions for two major reasons: (1) there is no such thing as a “routine” transaction because every piece of real property (and its history) is unique; and (2) every transaction is very important to the buyer and seller, often among the most important events in their lives. He never forgets how important his work is to his clients and is grateful for the trust they place in him.
Mike has been a resident of Pelican Bay for more than 15 years, splitting time between here and Los Angeles. He has watched with great satisfaction as the word has gotten out about what a wonderful Naples is. He has closely followed the market as it has developed and prides himself on his knowledge of local real estate. The variety of architectural styles and building formats in Southwest Florida is impressive, but the vast number of neighborhoods creates a challenge for newcomers. He really enjoys guiding clients -- whether local, from the North, or from abroad – through the Southwest Florida area.
Mike is active in the Naples business community and has worked extensively with local churches providing social and legal services to families in need.
Many of his clients are from abroad; he and Swavek very actively market their properties to foreign buyers. Mike has worked with many foreign investors and entrepreneurs and is expert in the immigration issues associated with buying and selling real property in the US. In addition, Mike and Swavek have developed relationships with lenders who specialize in non-US resident financing.
